Privacy Policy

Short version: resamazé stores your email address and the resume content you create. We use it only to run the app. We do not sell your data, run ads, or share your information with third parties beyond the services required to operate the app.

1. Who We Are

resamazé ("the app," "we," "us," or "our") is a resume-building application developed by JT Baker, an individual developer based in the United States. You can reach us at jt0706baker@gmail.com.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the information you directly provide while using the app:

Account information — your email address and encrypted password, used to create and authenticate your account.
Resume content — personal info (name, phone, location, LinkedIn URL, job title, professional summary), work experience, education, skills, projects, and certifications that you enter into the app.
Job applications — company names, roles, application dates, status, follow-up dates, and notes you log in the application tracker.
Usage counters — counts of AI resume imports, job description scans, and PDF exports used, to enforce free-tier limits and Pro subscription entitlements.
Subscription status — whether your account has an active Pro subscription, managed through Apple's in-app purchase system.

We do not collect location data, device identifiers, browsing history, contacts, photos, or any other device data beyond what you explicitly enter.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect solely to provide and improve the app:

Authenticate your account and keep your resume data synced across devices.
Power AI features — when you use the Resume Import or Job Scanner, your resume content is sent to our server-side AI processing pipeline to generate results. Your content is not stored by the AI provider beyond the duration of the request.
Enforce free-tier limits and verify Pro subscription status.
Respond to support requests you send us by email.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to operating the app.

4. Third-Party Services

We use a limited set of third-party services to operate the app. Each receives only the data necessary for its function:

Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure. Your email, encrypted password, resume content, and usage data are stored on Supabase servers. Supabase Privacy Policy
Anthropic (Claude API) — powers the AI Resume Import and Job Scanner features. Resume content is sent to Anthropic's API for processing on a per-request basis and is not retained. Anthropic Privacy Policy
RevenueCat — manages in-app subscription status. RevenueCat receives a pseudonymous user identifier and processes subscription events from Apple. RevenueCat Privacy Policy

5. Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app under Settings → Delete Account. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.

6. Data Security

All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. We follow industry-standard practices to protect your information, though no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

7. Children's Privacy

resamazé is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion of their data, and opt out of the sale of their personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, contact us at jt0706baker@gmail.com.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
